Financial Deepening and Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) Output in Nigeria

The study examined the relationship between financial deepening (FD) and entrepreneurial growth (EG) in Nigeria for period of 1986-2021 (36years). This was done respect to measures FD, namely; Ratio Broad Money Supply Gross Domestic Product (M2/GDP), Private Sector Credit (PSC/GDP), Market Capitalization (MCAP/GDP) Loans Small Medium Scale Enterprises (LSMSE/GDP) relation EG proxied by Output (SMSEO) Nigeria. data sourced from Central Bank (CBN) Statistical Bulletin World Development Indicators. Then, stationary normality tests carried out, followed descriptive statistics, correlation multiple regression tool analysis with aid E-VIEW 9.0 statistical package. results showed that M2/GDP, PSC/GDP, MCAP/GDP LSMSE/GDP have positive negative significant effect on SMSEO Hence, indicated FD had a considerable impact report proposed CBN compel deposit money Banks (DMBs) extend greater loan facilities entrepreneurs (private sector), including young graduates new entrepreneurs, without collateral enable them participate successful businesses. In addition, venture capital firms should be developed EG, resulting production value wealth.
